7 Pounds and The Chipmunks

This week je tengok 2 movies ni. Semalam baru tengok Chipmunks, konon nak bagi Danisha tengok, tapi yang duduk menetap depan TV adalah me & hubby. Yang anaknya dok sibuk buat benda lain. Layan je lah...........




Have you watched 7 Pounds yet? Saya kelewatan menonton movie ini. Was released on year 2008. I'm always a big fan of Will Smith, especially Pursuit of Happiness....cite yang tinggalkan saya dalam tangisan yang melampau-lampau, selain cite The Curious Case of Benjamin Button lah kan. This movie, I tell you, and I hope can be a benchmark for Will Smith to move more and more forward in his career. Memang tangkap leleh. And never wonder that such person can do a big sacrifice just because of his old mistakes. Penyesalan yang tiada penghujungnya.


Haunted by a secret, Tim Thomas looks for redemption by radically transforming the lives of seven people he doesn't know. Once his plan is set, nothing will be able to stop him. At least that's what he thinks. But Tim hadn't planned on falling in love with one of these people and she's the one who will end up transforming him.

There were flashbacks to Tim, a successful aeronautical engineer, and his girlfriend Sarah Jenson driving down the highway. She was looking at her engagement ring and he was looking at his blackberry while driving. A van with 6 passengers was coming the opposite way on the highway and collided with Tim's car. Both vehicles flipped and Tim was the only survivor.

Tim wanted to redeem himself. He donated a lung to his brother, and from then on, got the "bug" to save the lives of good people. He donated part of his liver to the child services worker Holly. After, he checked out George & gave him 1 of his kidneys. Then he donated his own bone marrow to the young boy with leukemia, whose name is Nicholas (Quintin Kelley). Tim left instructions to his friend Dan (and executor of his will) to take care of things upon his death. Emily was to receive Tim's heart.



Ni part yang buat saya sedih melalak-lalak. Emily tak tahu pun keadaan or Tim's secret. Finally dia tahu bila Tim dah mati. Tim tinggalkan surat untuk Emily dan Emily pegi cari orang-orang yang menerima organ Tim dan yang terakhir Ezra, seorang operator buta yang pandai bermain piano. Tim suruh pegi jumpa Ezra. That part was a touching part, becoz, they just looked at each other and without saying any words. Just smiling.


Mamat ni nama Ezra, buta. Tak kenal pun Tim. Tapi he can play a piano so lovely.


Memula agak cam keliru, sebab bnyk flashback, tapi pastu baru faham. Rasa cam tak percaya ada seorang yang sanggup melakukan apa sahaja untuk menebus kesalahan dan dosa terdahulu. Pengorbanan yang dilakukan dengan cara yang terhormat dan tiada siapa pun yang dapat menghalang walaupun adiknya sendiri. Banyak message yang saya terima through this movie. In life, especially. We always take things for granted and sometimes never bother about things happen in daily life, especially small matters that can give a huge impact......
