PLUS OFFERS ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS FOR 6 DAYS DURING OFF-PEAK HOURS THIS HARI RAYA
The motoring public can expect more goodies this Hari Raya.
Class 1 highway users traveling at off-peak hours on 16, 17, 18, 22, 24 and 25 September will be able to enjoy a cumulative toll discount of almost 20 percent when they exit the PLUS and ELITE highways between 12:00 midnight until 7:00 am.
The additional 10 percent discount is given on top of the existing 10 percent discount enjoyed by Class 1 vehicles on both expressways everyday during off peak hours.
According to PLUS Expressways Chief Operating Officer, Nik Airina Nik Jaffar, “This discount which is part of the PLUS Travel Incentive program, is in line with the Minister of Works, Dato’ Shaziman Hj Abu Mansor’s call to highway concessionaires to offer incentives to highway users especially during the festive peak travel period.
“For example, a one-way journey from the Jalan Duta Toll Plaza (Kuala Lumpur) to the Juru Toll Plaza (Penang) will only cost RM35.00 if users exit the PLUS highway between 12 midnight and 7 am compared to RM43.30 during normal periods.”
Motorists are also encouraged to use the PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card for a smoother journey at toll plazas and to enjoy various benefits such as toll rebates, discounts and privileges at participating merchant
